Rev. Johnny L. Goff, Sr. was born December 4, 1946 in
Alexandria, Louisiana to the parents of Mr. & Mrs. Abe and Rosa
Goff.  He is the youngest of ten children. Rev. Goff accepted
Christ as his savior at a young age.

​

He attended the public schools in Alexandria, Louisiana and
graduated from Peabody High School in 1964.  He attended
college at Southern University in Baton Rouge where he
graduated in 1971 with a Bachelors Degree in Business
Administration.  He did further studies in the area of business at
Texas Southern University.  Rev. Goff also attended the College
of Biblical Studies where he received a Bible Certificate in 1986
and a Bachelors Degree in Leadership in 2003. 
In 1973, he married the former Lucille Johnson.  They have two children, Johnny, Jr. and Kerri.

Rev. Goff was called to the ministry in 1982 while a member of
New Faith Baptist Church.  He was led by the Spirit of God to
organize Greater Friendship Baptist Church in August 1987. 
Under Rev. Goff’s leadership, the Lord has blessed us to build a
new sanctuary.

Pastor Goff is committed to teaching and preaching God’s word. 
He recognizes that only by being hearers and doers of God’s
word will our lives be strengthened and our Savior glorified.
